First announcement - IFGTM 2024 - Call for paper
I. THE FORUM THEME
Sustainable Resources and Environment towards Smart Cities.
II. OBJECTIVES
IFGTM is an annual forum organized by the Consortium for Green Technology Management and Research (CGTMR), to exchange new approaches and research, as well as experiences in environmental protection/management and response to climate change, towards the goal of sustainability. This year, the Forum is held in Thu Dau Mot University, founding member of CGTMR.
III. TOPICS
(1) Session 1: Resources and Environment management
- Environmental management in urban areas, industrial zones, and rural areas
- Climate change and natural disaster management (flood, drought, and typhoon)
- Environmental pollution (air, soil, water)
(2) Session 2: GIS, remote sensing, and modelling
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning in management, environmental resource, and hydrology
- Processing big data (Big Data) in management practices of environmental and natural resources, and hydrology
- Application of telecommunications and GIS in natural resources and environmental management
(3) Session 3: Environmental control
- Water and wastewater treatment technology
- Removal and recovery from wastewater
- Water reused and energy production from wastewater
(4) Session 4: Sustainable development
- Sustainable development, resource security
- Education, capacity improvement, and access to natural resources and environmental protection
- Open source and open data to protect resources and the environment
- Green architecture, green energy
- Circular economy, environmental economy
- Carbon neutralization and zero emissions

X. APPLICATION, PUBLICATION AND PRESENTATION (ORAL AND POSTER)
The scientific articles submitted on time and in accordance with specifications will be reviewed, edited and when accepted, they will be published in the special issue of the VNU Journal of Science: Earth and Environmental Sciences – Vietnam National University, Ha Noi or VNU Journal of Science: Natural Sciences and Technology – Vietnam National University, Ha Noi.
XI. MANUSCRIPT SPECIFICATION AND SUBMISSION PROCESS
- Full-text manuscripts and references should be presented in accordance with the request form of the VNU Journal of Science: Earth and Environmental Sciences, EES (https://js.vnu.edu.vn/EES/) or VNU Journal of Science: Natural Sciences and Technology, NST (https://js.vnu.edu.vn/NST/).
- Manuscripts are only accepted to be submitted online via the website of the conference: http://ifgtm.vn, http://ifgtm.com.vn.
Note: Manuscripts must simultaneously meet the following requirements:
o The full-text manuscript must not exceed 6 pages in length;
o Do not accept the author named in more than 3 manuscripts.
XII. IMPORTANT DATES
- First announcement: April 15th, 2024.
- Full manuscript submission deadline: June 15th, 2024.
- Revised manuscript submission deadline: August 15th, 2024.
- Notification of full manuscript acceptance: August 31st, 2024.
- Last announcement: October, 2024
- Conference date: November 14th-15th, 2024
XIII. REGISTRATION FEE
- Review fee: 1,500,000 VND/manuscript (together with manuscript submission).
- Publication fee: 1,000,000 VND/accepted manuscript (after acceptance notification). If the manuscript has PhD or a graduate student of any member institution in the network as the corresponding author: 500,000 VND/accepted manuscript.
- Presenters in the session will receive 1,000,000 VND/presentation.
XIV. SPONSORS
- CGTMR member annual fee: from 5,000,000 to 10,000,000 VND/member.
- Sponsorships from other organizations: companies, partners, etc. The Organizing Committee would like to invite and thank the sponsors and individuals for supporting the Conference.
