CGTMR (Consortium for Green Technology, Management and Research) was founded in 2010 on the initiative of 3 faculties/institutes of environment from 3 universities of science and technology (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang) and the Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment, Chianan University of Pharmacy and Science, Taiwan (China). Up to now (2025), the network has 17 active members, which are leading environmental and natural resources institutions in Vietnam and 4 oversea non-member partners.
IFGTM stands for International Forum on Green Technology and Management, an annual scientific event of CGTMR. The forum brings together scientists and managers from various fields to discuss critical issues of environmental protection towards sustainable development, focusing on green technology and management solutions. As of 2024, there have been 14 conferences organized by many members across the country: in Da Nang (2011), in Ho Chi Minh City (2012), in Ha Noi (2013), in Can Tho (2014) in Hue (2015), Binh Duong (2016), Hanoi (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020), Can Tho (2021), Ha Noi (2023), Binh Duong (2024).
The conferences are all held on an international scale: participants come from many countries, English is the official language for presentations and papers. Selected papers from the conferences have been published in high-quality international and domestic journals.
This year, the 15th Forum (IFGTM 2025) is hosted by the University of Sciences, Hue University (HUSC) with the theme "Green Technology and Management Solutions towards Sustainable Development and Net-Zero".
